Answered questions whilst criticising my work.

Does the work communicate an idea without any help? What do you think the message is?

”Yes, it definitely does communicate the idea - very straightforward- rape victims, how it’s handled, shaming - not aggressive, creates sympathy/ empathy.”

What processes and materials have been explored? Are they the best methods and materials to communicate this idea? How could this have been done differently?

”Paper/ text. Tracing paper - layered. Newspaper. Could do the text digitally for layout purposes.”

Can you identify a message or narrative in the work & if so what is the tone of voice? Who is the audience?

“Tones are serious, dark, very deep. Audience applies to everyone - can be educational and yes you can identity the message.”

Does the work make use of language/type/words? It text necessary?

”Text effect - think about layout of text and yes the text is necessary because it helps convey the message across.”

What could be developed further and where would you take it if you took the project on as a group?

“Add words underneath the tracing paper, more spaces between each layer. Create depth - create more space between layers. Could animate. Could have the figures giving off a different expression.”

In which area do you think the work could fit - Film and Animation, Graphic Design or illustration? Why?

”Definitely Graphic Design - use of text/language and it being a poster,”
